well as most of you may have heard we have had another premature baby boy named alexander joseph this time it was only 11 weeks early instead of 14, its really amazing how much of a difference 3 weeks makes, alex is doing very well hardly on any oxygen. he is now 3lbs he was born at 2lbs 3.5oz so he is gaining weight steadily. i got to try breastfeeding the other day and he sucked alittle bit but ultimately just fell asleep i'm not discouraged though i know its going to take some time to get him to do it since preemies dont have a strong sucking instinct. i'm getting lots of breastmilk between 30 to 40 oz a day so hopefully even if i do dry up this time alex has a good supply of milk stored. i'm learning that its very hard to wake up at night and get enough sleep at the same time while make sure i'm eating properly and then figuring out when to go to the hospital and how to arrange things so i can see jacob and take care of him since i'm not supposed to be lifting him because of the c section my grandparents have been helping me out by taking care of jacob. thankfully i only have a few weeks left until my 6 weeks appointment after that jacob will be back home with us and hopefully not too long after that alex will be home (although they keep saying most likely his due date) i'm praying alex grows fast and learns how to eat so i don't have to drive to the hospital for too much longer. i guess i should try to get some sleep goodnight bloggers :)
Hey there. I am so happy he is doing well. Love the blog. It is hard to keep up with them. I try to post something at least once a week.... I check it often though :) Post some photos!
